Commentors who wrote about the SINFONIA from Cantata 29: - you sound as bad as silly critical divas as the subject you're criticizing. GROW UP! |

Virgil Fox's commentary and lively rendition electrified his audience to an extent rarely, if ever, recorded since.

such talent and showmanship has not truly been duplicated to date... Cameron Carpenter tries but does not achieve the same outcome...

And there are organ fans today who would not be except for Fox. |

appalling! so untidy (despite being really slow), and an absolutely horrid sound. ugh!

This needs to be understood in context -- what, where and how Fox was doing at the time.

His commentary is thrilling! The poor electronic sound of the organ is unforgivable. The wrong notes and "slurps" are just tragic. I have recordings of me playing a Wurlitzer in my living room at the age of 12... but I don't publish them to the general public! LOL

Terrible electronic sound, and bad playing. A pity. |

no one could emote like Virgil - may he have found the peace he played in this piece.

This version is hugely enhanced by his opening commentary

It is more than wonderful!

Even on an electronic organ he can bring tears with his rendition of this piece.

This is his song. |
