What a beautiful, gentle performance. Now others sound mechanical by comparison. |

While a war horse no tune is Obsolete. Just personal attitudes and mundane disparaging comments becoming cumbersome and out of place. IMHO
By: ragbin on Nov, 11 2014
"Obsolete" psalm and hymn tunes also have a nostalgic resonance which lives in our hearts and - who knows? - may be "rediscovered" and become fashionable in the mainstream again. But Bourdon8 was probably just being satirical and no harm in that. |

Inaccurate title, as it's the second movement from the symphony, not the entire symphony itself. Otherwise, a fine arrangement of the work. |

Nicely done, but the RH is too forward and needs something sweeter & more gentle to better balance the soft LH and pedal stops. |

originally this fragment from Carnival of the Animals is written for 2 pianos and cello. Probably the Cigne is the only fragment of the 14-piece cycle published in time of Saint Saens and allowed for publical performance by the compositor. |

A near perfect performance, but I do wish the chorale theme was on a slightly softer and sweeter stop.
By: MusicDonor2014 on Aug, 05 2015
Not to object to Brian's comment above, as I hear the solo stop(s) I do believe the solo to be coming from a combination of two or more stops. I do hear the ensemble of all stops to be perfectly balanced and transparent. It is much to my liking for which I thank the organ builder and certainly the performing artist. |
