Excellent in registration and polyphonic structure.

Overplayed, overplayed, overplayed. Thousands of tracks in the OrganLive library and we are still subjected this overplayed piece. Ugh... |

rather dorian, than d-minor

Alas, "Dorian" is just a nickname used to distinguish it from BWV 565 & 539. Bach wrote this piece without a key signature, which would suggest the Dorian mode.

Herrick - it must be "nice" to play the hell out of this piece in tempo, but in my way of thinking, you're playing it 'beyond a normal person's ability to take it in and appreciate it.' Why break the speed limit? Registrations and manual changes are great. Pedal reg. balances both manuals wonderfully. |

Very smooth sound. None of the smearing of notes heard in most renderings of this piece. |
