While I probably wouldn't imitate most of Newman's interpretative choices, it's an interesting way to hear some different possibilities offered by the piece (for instance, the dotted rhythms in Var. 3). And yes, the Fugue is unfortunately way too fast. Choo-choo! Someone stop this train!
