Not rushed, great fun and very musical, not a note out of place. Bravo! |

Wonderful !

It's so very nice to hear a performance of this piece played for the musical content instead of the fastest speed achievable before the keyboard bursts into flames. Bravo, and thank you.

I fully agree !!

I had listened nearly all the way through the track thinking with satisfaction: "This is the speed at which this piece should be played". Then, almost at the end, I looked at the comments here. How refreshing to see other comments reflecting the same sentiments! |

This piece was played less than 2 hours ago. Did we really need to hear it again?
By: stlorganist on Jul, 16 2012
I do not believe it was the same recording....
By: jfk1961 on Oct, 29 2012
I'm aware of that, but that's not the point. The point is that Boëllmann composed OTHER music than just the Suite Gothique. But the Leupold Hour insists on playing the entire piece or just one movement of it on nearly every show, and OrganLive seems to have it on their playlist everyday except Wednesday. That's just too much Suite Gothique! LOL |
