soloists' tone and vocal abilities sorely lacking. this album seems to be more focused on soloists and instrumentalists not organ.

Oh, that is really slow, except, surprisingly, the 4th part - though inline with the album title! However, the "perfect pace" ought to be quicker, IMHO...

It's interestingly sweet at the slower tempi. It has a very calming effect... as a pastorale should have. I like it!
