I agree with the other comments. Sublime!

Its nice to know that we can usher in the Birth of Christ without loud fanfares and over-dramatized descants! What a wonderful way to welcome the Birth of this our King!

i love everything dorothy plays. is she still playing?

By: TrichterRegal on Jul, 22 2017

Dorothy is overrated! Common. If she is so great... why is she being played on "Something New Saturday" formerly know as "Dusty Tracks???" Just saying.

One of the most beautiful sounds of nature combined with some of the most serene registration possible! truly remarkable performance by both nature and Ms Papadakos.

Mediocrity = A person of mediocre ability. I listen to this station for ORGAN music. Nothing else!

By: jfk1961 on Sep, 04 2014

So much for the beautiful Aeolian-Skinner organ. This track is sacrilegious!

By: bill steward on Dec, 04 2014

beautiful and restfull.

By: TrichterRegal on Apr, 04 2016

Ridiculous! Sounds like the campfire scene in Blazing Saddles to me. Just get this entire CD off the airwaves. It's an embarrassment to organ literature and a disgrace that it's associated with the Aeolian-Skinner organ and St. John the Divine!

And someone doesn't realise that these comments are supposed to be about the music - which was surprisingly good, being very gentle and dreamy with a nice humming bass-line.

"One of my favorite songs played on one of my favorite instruments...what could be better! :)

By: mugless on Jun, 19 2014

It is so nice to hear someone play this beautiful piece on such a pretty instrument. I wish this CD was still available!

By: Daviid on Sep, 01 2012

The bass drones a bit too heavily, but Dorothy Papadakos does a great job. Dorothy in the Wizzard of Oz too, but probably would have had difficulty singing to this rendition!

Visiting this recording again September 28, 2016, just days before returning (perhaps for my last time) to the wonderful place known as COLORADO. Your improvisation on "Over the Rainbow" set me to crying happy tears, Dorothy. Thank you, my friend.
