I stopped what I was doing to listen more carefully to Tharp's rendition of Royal Fireworks. He certainly brings out some of that organ's best qualities, and plays in an effortless, transfixing style.

Heh - opening trumpets with enough bite to cut through steel plate! The start was a little slow for my tastes and saved by the trumpets - but what followed was excellent and clearly a virtuoso in full flight.
